Clinical Psychologist ( non HCPC)
Psychotherapist working towards UKCP registration
My name is Juana Cavaliere Silva. I am a psychoanalyst working in a Lacanian orientation.
I have a consulting room in London Bridge and in South East London. I offer sessions in English and in Portuguese
In 2005 I finished my Clinical Psychology studies at PUC University in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. My clinical experience started in 2004 at the University's low cost clinic called SPA.
I was part of a psychoanalytically oriented group which offered psychotherapy to members of the public.
I moved to London in 2006 to join the psychoanalytical training at Centre of Freudian Analysis and Research (CFAR). I am currently a candidate for full membership of CFAR which leads to UKCP registration.
Alongside the training I have worked in a number of specialised services in London for patients experiencing Psychosis, Personality Disorders, Substance Misuse, and Eating Disorders. I have also worked with expectant mothers and new mothers who experience Pre/Post Natal Depression and Pre/Post Natal Psychosis.
I am currently doing research in Sex and Gender. I participate in CFAR's training programme doing clinical and theoretical presentations as well as in the London Society of the New Lacanian School ( NLS).
